<<AMD said production volumes should come closer to the two-million
mark than to the total of one million chips produced in the third
quarter.>>

Does this mean that AMD will produce in Q4 K6 close to 2 million OR just more than 1 million in Q3?

<<The company said the shortfall is the result of efforts to increase
production using advanced 0.25 micron circuit-width technology. AMD
makes the K6 in both this circuit size and in the larger 0.35 micron
width. Focusing resources on 0.25, which allows the company to produce
higher-performing processors, led to a reduction in volume at the 0.35
level.>>

Assuming the statement is true, from technical standpoint (John P, YOusef), will the migration from 0.35 to 0.25 decrease K6 output?

Did you notice that 266 mhz will ship in volume in December? I assume this is on .25 micron. If that's the case, I wonder where the .25 micron 300 mhz chips are. Or, a better question, WHEN they are.

Jeff,

Thank you..

Doesn't look too good for AMD.... everything seems to be doing well sales wise, but everything is under "pricing pressure".. not good at all IMHO.
