Hi all,

I think we're worrying too much about this RegS & the conversion., If you take a close look at Kazakhstan map, EXXON is at the left side of the AIPN license. IMO...there could be a very good possibility that EXXON and the HUNT could very well be their JV. Hmmmm....comments??

Hunt Oil Yemen sub-contractor workers hold strike

SANAA, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Workers employed by a sub-contractor for U.S. firm Hunt Oil in Yemen have staged a strike to demand pay rises, an official said on Saturday.

''About 200 workers at the (sub-contracting) company who carry out maintenance work went on strike in one of Hunt Oil's installations in Marib,'' a Yemeni oil official told Reuters.

''The strike which started a few days ago has blocked maintenance works and some other technical operations, but in general operations are going on,'' he said.

Hunt was the first oil company to discover and produce oil in Yemen in the early 1980s. Hunt operates with Exxon (XON) as the country's second largest producer, pumping around 170,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Yemen's total 375,000 bpd output.

The workers are demanding a 10-15 percent increase in their salaries, he said. ''The strike is expected to end in about two days,'' the official added without elaboration.
