From day one the "flotilia" incident had the feel of a carefully and deliberately staged operation. Involvement of Islamist organizations close to Erdogan's government confirms that. This is a good example of Islamists using and manipulating a Western nation - this time Israel - to advance their own fight for political power.

If Turkey pushes this to the limit, the best thing Israel could do is "go long."

Suppose they send another "Peace" flotilla with, say three Turkish warships. What to do? They can't let the flotilla though. A standoff weakens them. It's time for the "if you bring a knife, I bring a gun" answer. Sink the warships and turn back the flotilla. This would be so humiliating that I think it would bring down the Turkish Gov.
