From what I've seen, they're out there but having to battle the obstructionist-imbecile "company men" from BP every step of the way.

It may "take a village" to raise a child (though 2 good parents are far better). But it takes an engaged executive branch to manage a crisis and beat down corporate cretins who get in the way with their own agenda.

Why haven't they mobilized their National Guards and all other resources to build berms and perform cleanup? As the oil moves, ALL those states should have had their NG's in Lousiana, moving east with the oil. They could have done that, and dealt with the legal authority issues later. I can't see Obama STOPPING them!
