The press has fallen out of love with him around the world. There is blood in the water and a feeding frenzy will soon start. They promised a God like Wonder Boy and got a sleazy politician. They eat their own. They built him up and are embarrassed now. Kinda like the Island of Doctor Moreau when the suffering beats reached the epiphany: "Man bleeds!!"
