Economically speaking, this is a real interesting time. According to the numbers released on Friday, higher employment and wages, interest rates should be raised. If the Fed were to raise rates, though, its going to strengthen the dollar and that would not be good against the devalued currencys in Asia. Seems the Fed is walking a double-edged sword now. None of this news is good for the market as the numbers pushed the market lower on Friday and Asia brought it down again today. Seems to be allot of negative news for the market to ingest in
such a short time. I think the Fed will have to hold rates and wait till next year to push them higher.

AVE- well its entered a range, at least it has been in one for the past few weeks. It has been ignoring market movement in general, though, saving me some money. A merger/acquistion would make things interesting, but I dont see it as likely for at least a few years. First, where would they get the money? and second, they are devoting most of their time just to get ready for the U.S. market. Any type of addition to the company would probably hurt the company more than it would help it- at least for the short term. I also do not see AVE stock going anywhere special, at least until something new develops.
