2D doesnt generate any profit any more and in 3D S3 hasnt any compatible, high end, high margin product. The best thing S3 management could do is buy/merge with 3D Labs, to acquire an good 3D product and produce this with their fabs. The 3D market is driven by computer games and most popular games support 3D Labs Vodoo Chipset directly without Direct3D and look best on this Chipset. Ulrich
