That Cheney "behind closed doors" is crap. Laws aren't made by Vice Presidents behind closed doors: the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the wide-ranging energy bill crafted by Dick Cheney in closed-door meetings with oil-and-gas executives. The Energy Policy Act of 2005 got the support of nearly three-quarters of the U.S. Senate (74 “yea” votes), including the top Democrat on the Energy Committee; current Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, then a senator from Colorado; and a former junior senator from Illinois named Barack Obama. So let's remember that Salazar and Obama voted for fracking not being regulated by the EPA. Im the House the act was supported by the top Democratic members on both the Energy & Commerce and Resources Committees.
