That's the spirit. I presume you saw the Kagan thing where she was asked if the government had the power to do exactly that and she refused to answer.

Of course, you would be convicted of felony brussel sprout avoidance and would not be able to rent an apartment or get a job after you did your time. So you'd take up in the no sprouts ghetto, your kids would not have good vegetable eating role models and a few generations down the road people would shake their heads at the general lawlessness of your descendants.

Not that long ago I heard some guy say he would grow pot even if they imposed the death penalty for it. I think he was expressing the same sentiment you expressed in regards to brussel sprouts.
