"You might have a point if it weren't for the fact that it's not just poverty stricken, hard working, honest people coming across our boarders. It's tons of drugs, groups of possible terrorists and paramilitary gangs, not the type we'd wish to welcome with open boarders." Hence the need for a unified theory. If people were allowed to maintain their body chemistry as they saw fit the drugs and paramilitary gangs would not exist (except to the extent that beer and tequila, and their associated smuggling gangs do). And if there are terrorists coming from some group of people, profile the hell out of them instead of feeling up granny. Crime would not go away, terrorists would not go away, man is a messy animal.
