I'm sure it's an interesting story, however I'm looking for happy and noble endings with my obscure difference makers.

Another villain, if you are into that, is a guy named Midgley(sp). He co-invented tetra-ethyl lead(or at least was instrumental in getting it used in gasolines) and then went on to discover CFC's, those pesky ozone eaters. Both were two of the worst of the worst chemicals ever put to use on a wide-scale basis.

There was a guy who had a big influence(like Haber)on agriculture who might be a good fit. He went off and developed strains of grains that increased yields tremendously. Just as the world population was getting too big to feed itself, he came along and just about single-handedly saved the day.

Anyone know his name?
