He probably got that AT the hospital, with his immune system in a weakened state. When your immune system is weak, a hospital is one of the most dangerous places on Earth. People with every kind of out of control infection are invariably there.


They claim he had it before he entered the hospital. Keep in mind he was working on a toilet. He could easily got infected when he got bit.
