" what does that have to do with anything? the original country ,like most today had no prisons, people were punished not imprisoned. Liberals started the prison system. Does iran imprison people or hang them. Is that what you want ? think ,man for gods sake, don't just 'feel good' amazing how little history people know, sad

during the colonial days there were no prisons(except some for war prisoners) there were only jails , which held you until you went to court. If found guilty you were punished, hanged, whipped, stockades etc. libs started the prisons. most countries continue this method of punishment, that's why their prisons are so small. you want that ? I do.
