Gary,
At this price, $24/share, you're getting Cascade for nothing,
condiering the cash on hand.

At its current
price, ASND's market cap of $4.5B is less than 9 times it's cash on hand!!!!!!!!!!

Gary,

This would be a good time to announce a stock buy back program. Boy, would that piss even more people off? They could have had about 20mil shares today @$24.

JJ

Gary RE "Blowing Holes In your Compaq Theory"

Please check back on your "TO ME" posts, #21484 & 21701, from me.

I'm wondering why CPQ would be expanding their new
Microcom division, into the Wide Area Network world, if
they are serious about buying Ascend.

RE the deal between Compaq's Tandem division, and Coms ---
My guess is that the idea is to have folks like you running around
with COMS/USR Palm Pilots, and checking into databases that reside
on Tandem Servers.

The Palm Pilot is becoming a very popular device. My #1 son just
returned from a Palm Pilot software conference, and is currently
planning a unique use for it.

I feel that this device will enhance Coms earnings. It is also
being sold by IBM .

Sorry to wander off the subject.

Mardy
