You think this is good news? A sign of recovery?! American imports temporarily bumped up as a result of government stimulus spending, but American exports remain at depressed levels.

Port of Los Angeles shipping container imports climbed 32% from a year earlier in June.

Exported shipping containers, including empty containers, were up 13%. Many others are filled with recycled waste paper.

Port of Long Beach container imports jumped 27% in June.
Exports of containers, including empties, rose a modest 2%.

Its an improvement from months past and its better than having containers empty both ways......or do you disagree?

How much goods do you think China buys from us? China is the greatest exporter in the world. Germany is second. The US is third or fourth. And it ain't Asia that is buying our goods.
