The folks who are obsessed with it can't be cured, and for the rest of us its a non-story. Just shows how ridiculously focused some folks are on other folks of a certain...pigmentation. What can you say? Story after story about folks who are...well...just not white. Interesting. And sad. But in the end, probably also incurable.

Same thing seems to happen with certain folks and ANY story about Muslims. Again, it's pure prejudice, but what can you do?

I think the Post Ombudsman noted that the NY Times beat the Post in covering the story.

Washington Post "National Editor Kevin Merida, who termed the controversy "significant," said he wished The Post had written about it sooner.
