Just about anyone over 60 on SI was voting in the '68 and '72 elections when all this stuff was first being fought out in American society. I'd love to see a survey of how many in that age bracket on SI now were solid Nixon voters then.

These are the same folks who have been angry about losing the America of the 1950's for the last 40 flipping years.

And they will never, ever get over it. The proof is out there to see on many threads.

I think you said it, someone did, that Fox News is trying to turn this into the Willie Horton story of the latter part of this decade. My guess, given what we've seen so far, is that it serves to further offer evidence of Fox self ridicule.
