TA:I<<it is impotant for physicians to find out NEGATIVE things about ANY drug, BEFORE it is approved.>> The Phase III studies for Viagra have been completed by Pfizer and submitted to the FDA for review. As with most products up for review, these studies will eventually be published in journals for all healthcare professionals to review. It usually takes 3-9 months for a major journal to peer review following an article submission. Until these studies are published or reviewed by the FDA, it is virtually impossible for physicians to find negative or positive data about an unapproved product. Unless you have access to the confidential Phase III Viagra data, your search for "negative things" will be fruitless and, most likely, misleading. I share your concern about patient safety. I also have a concern that biased shareholders often try to protect their portfolio positions by spreading fear and misinformation about potential competitors over the Internet. Before long and before it is introduced in the marketplace, data from the Viagra studies will be made public by the FDA, Pfizer and medical journals. In the meantime, as a VVUSer you should be focusing on the positives of MUSE. It is really unclear at this point the short and long-term impact that Viagra's market introduction will have on the use of MUSE. Good investing to all! BigKNY3 PS For the record, I have been investing in pharmaceutical companies for over 20 years. I do not hold a position in VVUS and do hold long positions in several pharmaceutical companies including PFE and MRK. I also have never shorted a stock.
