When I got my degree, I looked for a long time. No one was hiring. I interviewed for technician jobs. I was over-qualified. I had expenses, I was willing to do almost anything to get an income stream, no dice. Fortunately, I still had some contacts and got a few contracts, but that was drying up as the economy was in a nose dive. It was touch and go with the house note, but I was able to borrow money from my family to keep it. Now you and yours can sit smugly and pretend that the unemployed just are too lazy to get a job. But it is far from the truth.
