You have failed to explain why the Walton heirs are so hot to get the estate taxes repealed. Could it be they just aren't bright enough to do the same?

I didn't "fail" to explain. As I pointed out, it is an irrelevant point unless you can demonstrate their motivations are outside the realm of their conservative philosophies.

I am adamantly opposed to estate taxes, yet my exposure is almost nonexistent after lifetime gifts. I've known many people who are totally unaffected by the death tax who oppose it. Nothing unusual about that.

The cold, hard facts are that it is a disgusting form of taxation that does one thing really, really well: It takes money from the most productive entities in the nation (successful businesses) and forks it over to one of the least product (government).

There are no redeeming characteristics.

I say this as a person who has dealt with these issues professionally and who has seen, first hand, the problematic nature of the death tax. I see nothing to suggest you are even remotely qualified to discuss the subject.
