Yes, "all" would be quite a stretch. < think it is a mistake to assume that all hispanic immigrants think like progressives.> But voting doesn't require everyone to think the same to win. 51% does the trick.

Women think differently from men, and vote differently from them, and buy differently, which does not mean all women think the same way as each other, or have any particular variable in common, or that all women think differently from men. Heck, even the definition of "woman" is fraught with problems when the nitty gritty is pinned down - or not, which is the case. There is a "woman" in Africa who is now approved for racing against women [in running races]. The other women might as well give up now.

Stereotypes are near enough for government work, such as voting. 90% or more of Negroes voted for Obama. That's a pretty good stereotype. The proportion of melanin-deficient males over age 40 earning more than $80,000 a year voted far less frequently for him. Stereotypes work - en masse. They don't work for "all", or any particular individual.

Some Anglo grannies might strap on semtex to bomb an airliner, or wield their nail clippers to savage the crew, but it's a better bet to check out the "Islamic-looking types", especially if they are young unmarried males, straight out of a mosque, wearing a scowl. Stereotypes work, more or less, near enough, for the most part, by and large.

It is an interesting conundrum: the illegals - like most immigrants - are generally the hardest working and most entrepreneurial andthe most willing to take on taks that no one else will take.
