>We can fix it for the future, but you have guys like John Fowler and SilentZ defending the existence of government pensions because corporate execs also reward themselves with golden parachutes, etc. That's not how I defend it (though I did mention it a post ago to Jim because of the fact that you were essentially saying that politicians can write the rules for themselves in a way businesspeople can not, which aside from the most literal definition not possible, is blatantly not true. Government pensions are good because: 1. Pensions are good in general and 2. I totally support creating security for people who have spent their lives performing public service. -Z
