"So the scientists become the new "priests" -- folks you cannot question without getting heaped with scorn."

Well said.

Today the 'science' promoted by the "news" media and the elite is anything but science.

Just another ploy used to intimidate and hopefully control the non-elite.

Science and reason are tools. We humans are irrational. We do not think logically, we make shit up, will believe things with little questioning of its truth, hear voices and see things that are not there, just in our heads.

So we needed a tool to check ourselves. Science and reason are the best tools we have found and the best we can do. It is not a matter of worshiping, it is a matter of survival.

Science and reason are what brought us out of the "Dark Ages". Nothing else.

Our science conquered horrible illnesses like disease, and allowed us to use sophisticated medicine, instead of quackery like blood letting, or boring holes in the head to let out evil spirits. We can even cure cancer now and a compound fracture is no longer a death sentence.

Women can give birth now with little fear of dying.

No one is worshiping science. Those are your words. We respect science. Two very different things.

Carry on.
