This is why CDRD is such a classic story stock. CDRD's real value is their licenses plus their satellites minus their outstanding debt. Everything else is smoke and mirrors. I haven't crunched the numbers but CDRD has had to finance everything they aquired, so there is little justification to their current market cap.

Then the brokers step in with a song and dance about everybody getting digital satellie radio in their cars, RV's and Mac trucks for only $10 a month. CDRD is supposed to set up marketing, sales and program divisions, get enough subscribers then make enough $$ from the ten bucks a month crowd to pay interest, salaries and everything else.

The net value of CDRD is a myth unless you believe they can make money at $10 a month. I'm sure Loral would be happy to say "Sorry, guys", repossess some equipment and move along.

BTW, it also helps Loral to have another couple of orders on the book to keep their company going until it is profitable.

Though this is not as easy or obvious as reselling a never-been used satellite, I wonder if Loral might be first in line to reposses the FCC license? Some people seem to think those are worth a lot of money. Does anyone know if that is possible, or even likely?

Thanks.
