Lanny -"Everybody" has not yet come to understand that Ascend
is now much more than a RAS company.

Ascend has thus far, done an extremely poor job of presenting
a good overview of their company to the investment community.

Perhaps their new CFO will correct this problem

It gets bloody tiresome, listening to RAS trials and tribulations.

Lanny,

Thanks for bringing the NTT contract back to the forefront. I have often felt that there has been a general lack of understanding regarding the magnitude and implications of this contract.

Whether or not NTT will contribute revenue during the Dec. Q., I spoke with Bernie Schneider a week ago Friday and asked him that specific question (post 20328). His reply was that it would.

Furthermore, when asked if there were any major deals pending his response was that there were none that he could discuss, but added that major telcos are not as open (as they used to be) in allowing press releases. Well thats pretty good confirmation in my book that there is another very significant deal in the works w an AT&T or the like as has been posted by many others on this thread.

With the stock @ $24,(2+ yr. low) and the constant pummeling it has been subjected to over the past month in particular, its not going to take much to get ASND moving quickly up from here. Regarding new major contract announcements I think its more a question of when and with who rather than if!

Its painful being an ASND shareholder now, but you couldn't pry a share from my hands at these prices.

Larry

>>>Everybody seems to forget about the multi-year contract with NTT to build Japan's Internet infrastructure.<<<

I haven't forgotten the NTT deal...however, the contract is only worth approximately $50 mil over 3 years. So, unless most of it surfaces in a few quarters, it really has little impact. Hopefully what it does do, is build upon a a strong future relationship...this bodes well for large future orders.
