Ted, there have been many instances where the teams of "underserved" cities have won championships. San Antonio, TX is one of them. So is Kansas City. And would Green Bay, WI even be on the map without their NFL team?

Of course, the conspiracy theory is that the officials and the administrators tilt the playing field toward the bigger markets like Los Angeles, New York, and Boston. That way, they get the most viewship on TV and therefore the most ad revenue.

The NBA has salary cap. The Heat timed the free agency of Lebron so they had the money. Also Bosh, Wade and Lebron took pay cuts to play together. So there was some left over for additional players.

You should be mad at major league baseball. There is a salary cap but you can exceed it if you pay a luxury tax which the Yankees are more than happy to pay because they have the money (big market)
