I see, okay, so if one works for 1 hour a day and gets paid 8 times the hourly wage, then the employer has no real advantage, only the employee benefits... the same bottom line cost to the employer exists, so how does the employer benefit? As well, if the worker gets paid less than 8 times as much, for example, then his standard of living declines... it seems we have a hydraulic situation in which you can't gain on both sides of the scale, when you add to one side you also have to take away from the other... I understand the notion of efficiency, but I don't see it working in your example, unless I'm missing something obvious... TIA
