<<<Krugman needs to stop over analyzing and remember supply vrs demand. (lots and lots and LOTS of money and very little demand). ....>>>

Could that be because over 10 million people lost their jobs recently and have no money to spend and that we want to extend Bush tax cuts to those with lots and Lots of money and have had ALL their material needs fullfilled a long LONG time ago.

<<<at some point creditors will demand more interest and interest rates will rise. >>>

According to your logic, since interest rates have nowhere to go but up we therefore have to be more vigilant in fighting inflation. In order to keep those with lots and lots of people with lots and lots of money, people without money can buy all the cake in world with our overly generous food stamp program.

And there is that other reason. An absence of demand. Because folk don't have jobs. Can't buy the goods, so producers don't produce and don't hire to produce, which keeps employment low or lowers it.
