To All,

Anyone know how to specify the ticker for a preferred stock trading on the NYSE through Datek?

For example,

Excel Realty Trust Inc Preferred A trades on the NYSE and can be specified by Yahoo! using symbol "XEL_pa". I have seen ticker's like "XEL1A" used in other systems. No permutation that I try seems to work on Datek.

Thanks in advance,
Stew

Why do you care? If it was a short as you said then you wouldn't get the commission waived anyway (uptick rule).

Yes was a short sale, and commission is charged no matter what.
(What do you mean by the uptick rule? Doesn't that apply to *when*
you can short sale, not whether commission is charged?)

I guess my only beef now is why I didn't get an email confirmation,
which is still strange considering the service I had these past
two weeks.
