We know that some of them preach one thing in English and something completely different in Arabic.

Do you think Imams of muslim mosques preach jihad, kill people for Jihad, punish women by stoning them to death, etc. If not where do these ideas come from.

If you dont think that is preached in American Mosques. Who is radicalizing the Americans that take up Jihad and demand Sharia Law.

Yes not all Muslims believe this nonsense, but until we openly discuss what it is about Islam that spawns and perpetuates these ideas, we will never understand how to tell a peaceful Muslim from a Jihadist.

Whether or not the imam preaches such things is immaterial. The problem is that followers of this 'religion' do commit atrocities, and darn few of their number condemn that.

This mosque will be a magnet for zealots, and some of them will be wearing fat vests. Others will be plotting other atrocities.

This mosque thing is an insult and a victory celebration. If the 'bridge builder' imam wanted to build bridges there are any number of more effective and less outrageous ways to do it.

At the VERY LEAST, this imam should have known that his proposal would be taken as a victory celebration, and he damn well should have known better.
