Um, the Republicans have been trying to block everything. They just haven't been able to do it as much as they'd like.

But not to worry--they have managed to make the legislation worse that it would have been if they had actually tried to help craft something good.

Yeah, well the Republicans are blocking everything they can block. They just aren't winning every time.

You only have to look at the votes on every major (and minor) piece of legislation that has gotten through Congress to see what I'm talking about.
