You've got company in saying the DD sector will do better ahead. The Prudent Speculator thinks the entire DD sector is a screaming buy right now. As all the bad news is out. It can't get any worse. And the pc sales is growing by the high double digits.

Out.

The time will come for the disk sector, but I see no reason to believe that the situation will get any better until IBM quits its massive build-out program. In the end, IBM will either control the bulk of the business, or they will give up. But in the meantime the situation is not likely to show too much improvement for anyone.

IBM alreadly is the primary provider of notebook drives, and MR heads. They could soon will be the largest provider of high-end SCSI drives, and will have a larger drive manufacturing capacity than SEG.
