<< I usually prefer books>>
I just found out that Terry Jones has accommodated your preference:
amazon.com

So I popped $5 for a used copy of
amazon.com

I always like to hear the other side's case.<g>

Mike,

You seem to prefer political history. I find it somewhat boring and not entirely trustworthy. What's nice for me about Terry Jones' writings is that it's more about what was life like for the average schmuck. What did they eat, drink, and what were their sexual customs. I had no idea that women back then were so aggressive or that beer was the preferred liquid since water was so iffy.

Sounds like my kind of time and place. <g>

Finished the Terry Jones book on Roman history from a "barbarian" perspective. Makes a pretty good case as to who were civilized.
