odd anecdotal note from the construction arena....

My contractor buddy says he is doing everything he can to avoid hiring older experienced workers now...

even though wages have been halved or often even more drastic cuts than that...

why you say?

Because they know the job is temporary at best, they won't get enough time to get UIB going again....sooooooooooooo:

Have a little accident the first chance you get. TDI is the new rage cause it is darn near endless. The doctors are slow so they are more than happy to sign of on the bad back and new, steady client.

the young kids haven't got the picture yet so he is hiring them and putting up with a slower pace, less efficient, but cheaper...
