Congressional update . . .

Today's Washington Post reports that "The Senate Appropriations Committee voted to bundle the three remaining spending bills for Commerce-Justice-State, foreign operations, and the D.C. government and send them to the Senate floor for action." The Post also reported on "a flurry of year-end activity as Congress struggled to adjourn in the next day or two."

I interpret this to mean that the DOJ bill (with the INS budget) is now out of Conference Committee and that the House and Senate are preparing for their approval votes before sending it on to the President.

Sounds like Roll Call's last report was right.
