Palo Alto - Palo Alto is a very extreme school, does not represent the US in any way. The 5 tracks at Palo Alto may have more to do with not having too many kids in the bottom track, and also having some super kids ( previous private school + extensive direct tutoring by qualified teachers and tutors + high motivation + great genetics + great environment for YEARS since birth). The Palo Alto school is not creating most of this value , it just shows up in Palo Alto (Russian math Olympiad kids whose parents move to the US)

Sergey Brin (Google) is an example of this - he had a good high school in Maryland, but how much value did it add ?

<<Gold is a faith. When times went dire, each and every sorry time, gold reign supreme.>>

Well it seems to me that there wuz a time for some 15 20 years when interest rates went to 15% an gold .....ahh didn't do so well.

Of course you make a good case but all i'm sayin is never be TOO sure. the unexpected can always screw things up.
