Well, you may be right about only 5% making it. I can tell you that I met quite a few people who were academically in the top few percent of their fields...myself included. While a keen mind is important to learning how to use the software etc., it does nothing to make you a good trader. Well, maybe SOMETHING, but trading style seems to be an inborn art. It can be developed, in many cases, but each artist paints differently. I wish you well but do NOT be deluded into thinking that just because you and Romeo did well in school that you automatically will do well trading. In fact, you could make the argument that the reason that people do well in school is that they learn how to conform. Perhaps SOES tyoe (daytrading) trading requires more of a NONconformist attitude. Just my thoughts.
