In spite of an apparent fix, you would love a flat panel monitor. Besides being able to lift the thing, the image is much better. They just keep getting cheaper, too. Try Wal Mart for starters.

I've posted it before, if you want an inexpensive flat screen, I watch this site on a regular basis.

salescircular.com

Choose your state, then under Computer Hardware is the monitors listing, showing what's on sale the current week.

Of course BlackFriday is coming up, that's where I got my current monitor at Office Depot cheap.

The Acer at Amazon.

I'm upgrading the office computer and monitor in November (want 3 vs. 2 monitors b/4 January and by then I may go with 4).

I've had good luck with Samsung and Acer.
