Re. the really important message from Intel's conference with the
analysts is that Intel is on track to absolutely dominate the microprocessor market as far into the future as the eye can see...from Net PC's through high-end servers.


I am glad you re-emphasized this point. Most analysts and short-term traders forsake the strategic value of a stock such as Intel and dwell exclusively on the short-term eps numbers. IMHO, this is what disguishes the successful (and visionary) investors from those who buy high and sell low.

Will this news bring Intel down a point or two tomorrow???? I think it
most likely will. If a recall announcement follows,that might be another couple of points to the downside. what is your feelings on it?
The thing is if the news is correct or not, a negative rumor will always tend to invite negative results,in Intel's case probably a temporary phenomenon.I dont believe this is a grave problem, but a temporary problem nonetheless.
