The glass/cans/plastic bottles currently go to a plant in Four Ashes, Wolverhampton. There are very few Material Recycling Facilities (MRF) that sort by machine, but it means we can take mixed materials without sorting them at the kerbside, which is costly and time consuming.

- Where does all my recycling go?

The paper and card goes to the Smurfit Kappa mill at Nechells and is made into cardboard boxes.

The garden waste goes to composting facilities near the city and is composted on a large scale to be used for agricultural and landscaping purposes. This is why we cannot take anything in the green sacks that isn't compostable and why we cannot use biodegradable sacks due to the potential littering shredded up sacks could cause.

That's great. What is the company's name that is giving you free plastic? I could use some. Post phone number. Also, small amounts of plastic not a big deal. 40,000lbs per DAY per machine. Good luck with that. Hopefully they get the permit soon so we can see if bordynuik can prove his claims or if he goes down like many others.

Amazing that you have sources of free plastic, when there is a huge market of companies that will buy it. So if you get it free and there are tons of companies that will buy it, why don't you just have the company you get it from deliver it to the buyers and you will make free money? Here is a list of many folks that are will buy the plastic and boy do they pay good. I can't imagine why a company would ever give it away for free.

Listen guys,
Get off the subject of feed stock for once and for all!

I have contracts for waste plastic, from hard plastic to dirty film, to be deliverd to my yard, I GET PAID between $80 and delivered free. The better the plastic the worse the price I get paid, if I agree to take the better material for free I can call the period of the contract which is between 3 to 5 years.
I would be more concerened with JBI's roll out timescale.
