You know that is a generalization.

The reality is more expensive home foreclosure have tripled which causes the median price to skew upwards.

Prices are still dropping categorically nationwide, inventory is rising, buying activity is slowing.

That said, there are safer deals in real estate than in the stock market or bonds...not for flipping, but for yield. Been over 10 years since I've seen reasonable, fairly safe ""yield deals" in real estate.
