Fortune Magazine 11/10/97 edition has a favorable mention of 3COM/USRX
Palm Pilot. Page 102.

COMS is undervalued at this level given its growth rate. Over
the last few months several significant new products have come out. This company is in the transition to the new product cycle. 56K
standard hopefully will be resolved in 1/98.

I think you are giving your money away if you sell the stock at this level. There is no real negative news that change the company's fundamental in any way, only rumors and broker's unsubstantiated
downgrades. Let the institutions do their year-end tax selling and traders short their stocks.

I believe that you have misread the VL data. Avg annual P/E ratio has been for 1997-1993, 25.4, 27, 18.8, 15.8, 18.9. that does not equate to a PE ratio of 21 over that time period.

Sorry for delayed response, but I've been out of town. According to my calculator, the series of numbers you provided above does indeed average out to 21.18 -- I admit that I rounded it down to 21 in my initial note.
