I am not blaming any one entity of government spending. It's unsustainable every where one looks

Generally I completely agree with this statement - except SS. It is the one item in the government that has its own funding. Each and every time a person earns a buck, a portion of that money goes into the SS trust fund. What was it 20 years or so ago they said we needed to fix SS and they did. Part of that fix was funding it and there is likely nothing that is more unfair than to now pretend after we have paid into it all these years at a higher rate that it is gone because the government borrowed the money to fund crap like the wars. I would personally like to help tar and feather any congressperson who now pretends that money doesn't exist.
