Immigration could be 90% fixed by a sensible guest worker program tomorrow. But it won't get past the shrieking ideologues who believe that economics can be overcome by fences. Stupid is as stupid does. And we just keep on doing the stupid thing and wishing that we could make it all work perfectly. How many decades do we have to keep going down the same dumb track before a majority realizes it's time for an actual change? I watch this idiotic pedaling in circles over immigration, drugs and similar issues and just laugh my head off at the futility of it all.
