Since no government in US history has ever been willing or able to enforce employer sanctions on a significant scale, I would bet that it's probably not the most viable public policy option we could come up with. But I'm funny like that, looking for stuff that works instead of just pounding a drum for one cause or another. Because I think politicians look dumb when they keep pounding the table for policies that cannot or will not and have not ever worked. Maybe I am the idealist, come to think about it, expecting something more.
