Also, keep in mind that a K6-200 has to do 200MHz at 2.85 volts (the minimum of a 2.9 volt supply). There is no reason not to run it at 3.2 volts and it will almost certainly run at 225 MHz then. A K6 at 225 (75MHz bus X 3) actually runs faster than a K6-233 and as fast as a Pentium II 233.

K6-200 is available many places for $160
P2-233 is $413

You won't save much if that Peltier cooler causes moisture to condense inside your PC and you know what can happen when that occurs.

Saving a few bucks by going to all that work implies you put a low value on your personal time. Just how much is it worth to you?
