Reid is history. He has represented Nevada since dirt was invented and he can't get over 50%. Dick Morris makes sense. The undecideds will go to Angle. It is as if someone asks you if you plan to be married next year and you say I am thinking about it.

It is a dangerous tiger, and they may be handing victories to Dems in several instances. The twists and turns are surely going to be interesting.

You will laugh at this and surely not agree, but I'm totally intrigued by the Christine O'Donnell situation and find it oddly affirming of what it means to be an American. Where else but America could a former teen witch through sheer grit and perseverance establish herself as a contender for a Senate seat?

I also see her as a kind of metaphor for every woman who sort of aimlessly went with the crowd when she was young. She has self-described as being promiscuous, was in and out of school, a string of dead end jobs, and then, of course, the witch thingy but at some point decided to strive for a more virtuous and purposeful life. Things could come out, but apparently she has led a better life since then inspite of a constant struggle to stay afloat financially. And now she's willing to have that life examined and cross-examined, putting herself through the wringer of what will surely be viciously unkind public scrutiny! That is raw courage in my book.

So for now, I see this as representing a level of real grit that few people have and I find it inspiring. So I'm really pulling for her...not so much to get elected Senator, a job for which she surely is woefully unqualified...but to come through the meatgrinder with her dignity and perseverance intact.
