I will still have an XP machines for years to come, but any new computers will be Windows 7.

I mainly got Windows 7 because of features in Photoshop, Jing and Camtasia Studio 7 that won't work in Windows XP (features that most people won't use).

That 16:9 screen on my new notebook makes awesome full screen video captures, for play back on YouTube.

Gottfried, you have good reason to be worried about older programs not working on W7 because of the 64 bit issue. I had to download Virtual XP which creates a shell with its own virtual C drive. Many of the legacy programs would work under it, but some would not.
