So you think that a substantial (don't quibble with my word ok?...that part of posting to you is irritating)...number of economists advocated against stimulus spending? If there were, they were counter current to what the US and the rest of the world actually did.

These criticisms are almost always late second guesses...when economies are going strong, "keynes is dead"...then unbridled and unregulated capitalism over-reaches and things go sour, as they did in 2007, opinion swings the other way, partly because when demand drops off there is very little else you can do...it's typical after the fact over-reaction...i don't get my knickers in a knot over it as populists and partisans tend to.
