Big Papa, I would think that WDC would be the most likely takeover candidate, because they are by far the smallest, but their transition to MR heads would be costly for the company that takes them over, making them unattractive. I don't think anything like that would happen. It's more likely that someone like IBM would take over one of them.

Anyone notice that Investor's Business Daily (a.k.a. Morons who don't research what they write) published an article saying that Stearn's downgraded SEG and QNTM as well as WDC. I love all the false press we're getting. When every point means $10,000, it's no longer a funny mistake.

I asked, people who's job it is to know and they said "Quantum does not currently license our DLT technology." I have to believe them,
its they're job to know these things.
I'm not saying that you are wrong, just misinformed by your Compac
connection... or else Compac has a patent infringment problem...
but that doesn't make sense because of the second reason I gave in the last reply.
